A taxi driver, León Lafuente, is struggling to make ends meet and keep his taxi and home from being repossessed. His life takes a turn when he picks up Diego Manfredi, a recently released prisoner, who asks him to take him to see his ex-wife, Alicia. Diego is penniless and asks León to take him on a 660 km journey to Gibraltar, promising to pay him 2,000 EUR plus 500 EUR extra. Despite their differences, León agrees to the trip, and along the way, they meet Sandra, a young woman who has escaped her arranged marriage and is hiding in the taxi trunk. As they near Gibraltar, they become embroiled in a treasure hunt for a legendary gold hidden by Winston Churchill during World War II.
