The 400 Million background

The 400 Million

In ancient China, a nation of 400 million people is plunged into chaos as Japanese forces launch a devastating invasion, forcing desperate civilians to embark on a perilous journey to safety, pushing themselves to the limits of human endurance.

The people of China, heirs to a great civilization, face a brutal Japanese invasion. As cities crumble, refugees flee, and ancient traditions like water buffalo in paddies and camels in the desert remain, the Chinese government, led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen and later Chiang Kai-shek, fights back with modern schools, industry, and engineering projects. Despite the challenges, the Chinese resist with modern weapons, pursuing their struggle behind enemy lines, but the Japanese persist in targeting civilians, leaving the question: will they emerge victorious?
