Dorothy Toy Fong, a 100-year-old dance legend, began her career in vaudeville as a child after a theater manager discovered her dancing in front of her parents' restaurant. She teamed up with Paul Wing, and they became the most famous Asian American dance duo in US history, known for their unique, athletic style and performances on Broadway and in Hollywood films. Despite her family's internment during World War II, Dorothy continued to perform and manage her Oriental Playgirl Revue, which toured internationally. She also ran a dance studio in her Oakland home, teaching hundreds of children to dance.
