Two brothers, one a free-spirited optimist and the other a cynical corporate executive, return to their childhood home in the countryside for their father's funeral. As they settle into their father's old estate, they discover a mysterious stranger hiding in a closet with a large sum of cash. When the stranger accidentally suffocates, the brothers are faced with a difficult decision: report the incident to the authorities or keep the body hidden and the money for themselves. This choice sets off a chain of bizarre events, ultimately leading to the dwindling of the village's eccentric population during their short stay.
