The Gerber Syndrome: il contagio background

The Gerber Syndrome: il contagio

A lethal virus sweeps across Europe in 2011, putting the entire continent at risk of devastation.

An infectious viral disease, Gerber's Syndrome, spread globally from Germany in 2008, is extremely contagious, fast-spreading, and deadly. It's challenging to identify as its initial symptoms resemble a normal flu, but later, it attacks the brain, causing severe central nervous system damage. A documentary follows three individuals dealing with the disease: Melissa, a young infected girl, Doctor Ricardi, her physician, and Luigi, a CS agent responsible for handling infected cases. The TV crew's stories intertwine with those of the characters, as they navigate the lives of Melissa, her family, and Doctor Ricardi, as well as Luigi's ordinary life with extraordinary responsibilities.
