Joe Blake orchestrates a daring prison break with three accomplices, but his landing goes awry. As two escapees flee to a waiting getaway van, Joe's slow pace causes the driver to abandon them. He and Terry Sladden then stumble upon a farm, where they take the children hostage and demand the farmer's son, Peter, contact the local doctor. The stage is set for a tense standoff.
