Armenia is on the cusp of independence in 1991, a decade after Eve left her homeland with her parents for New York City. As a photographer and waitress, Eve longs for stillness amidst America's vitality, but tragedy strikes when she learns her childhood friend Arman was killed. An assignment to capture the Caucasus events brings her back to Armenia, where she's swept up in the independence movement and torn between her newfound love and cultural heritage.
