Noah Dugan, a fugitive from bookies, agrees to fly missionary Bernadette Lafleur and her cargo of animals to a remote island, unaware that two of her students and her radio have caused the plane to crash-land off course. Joining forces with two Japanese soldiers stranded since WWII, they must transform the plane into a seaworthy boat to survive. Complicating their efforts, two young students insist on bringing the animals along, making the plane-turned-boat a modern-day Noah's Ark.
