The Man in the Trunk background

The Man in the Trunk

A young couple is driven to uncover the truth behind a restless spirit's gruesome demise, fueled by a burning desire for vengeance.

A skeleton found in a swamp leads to the conviction of petty-crook Ed Mygatt for a decade-old murder. However, his lawyer, Dick Burke, uncovers new evidence, including a skeleton and hat with the victim's initials, which the police initially dismiss as a publicity stunt. But as the trunk is opened, the ghost of the murdered man, Jim Cheevers, emerges, using his wit to communicate with the outside world, turning the case upside down.
