Michael Shulan, a struggling novelist and co-owner of a storefront space in Soho, had his life changed forever by the World Trade Center attacks. He and friends turned his space into a famous crowdsourced photo exhibit, "Here Is New York", and became the world's leading expert on 9/11 photography. Later, he was invited to lead the National 9/11 Museum at Ground Zero as Creative Director. His vision for an open and inclusive space turned into a daily struggle to keep his vision alive.
