Boxer Ed Jones gets a second chance at fulfilling his lifelong dream of a World Boxing Championship with the help of veteran promoter Arliss King and a former champ. Despite tempting offers from an unscrupulous promoter, Ed stays loyal to Arliss and his popularity soars. However, tragedy strikes when his pregnant wife dies, leaving him a single father and forcing him to reevaluate his priorities.
