Gao-bing, a hardworking baker, struggles to save his family's bakery from decline. His boss, Mr. Chiu, is more interested in his rock band than the business, while the apprentice, Di, lacks enthusiasm. Gao-bing's girlfriend, Ping, suggests they innovate and try new flavors, leading her to meet Bread, a charming American baker who has a magical touch. Bread moves in as Gao-bing's roommate, but their differing styles and personalities cause tension, especially when Bread openly declares his love for Ping.
