In this comedy, a naive country boy, Will Stockdale, is drafted into the Air Force and unwittingly drives his fellow airmen crazy, particularly his sergeant, King. Initially, King sees Will as a perfect pawn to do all the undesirable tasks, but things take a turn when Will accidentally informs the captain of King's plan to keep him from advancing in rank. King is now desperate to get rid of Will, but it proves to be a more daunting task than he anticipated.
