The Water Is Wide

Pat Conroy, a passionate and dedicated teacher, takes on a new challenge when he accepts a position to educate the underprivileged children of a small, isolated community on Yamacraw Island. Despite the obstacles and resistance he faces, Pat is determined to make a difference and connect with his students. However, his efforts ultimately lead to a bitter conflict with the school's strict and outdated administration, putting his future as a teacher in jeopardy.
