Paul Kriza, a bank cashier, is sent to New York to deliver securities, only to be targeted by a con-game gang and their accomplice Mary Brown. After being robbed and left for dead on a railroad track, Paul escapes and flees, but his identity is mistaken, and he becomes a fugitive, unable to return home.
