Bob Reynolds, a famous singer, is drafted into the US Army and struggles to adapt. He's accompanied by Gil Whitman and his orchestra, who provide entertainment for the troops. As they prepare for a show in the camp canteen, a sergeant helps Bob overcome his whiny attitude, just before the corps receives orders to deploy overseas.
