Too Many Cooks background

Too Many Cooks

A young couple faces the ultimate challenge as their family's meddling and sudden loss of financial backing threatens to tear them apart.

Al and Alice build their dream home, but their happiness is disrupted when Al's uncle and boss, George, unexpectedly moves in and insists Al marry his friend Minnie. The situation worsens when Alice's large family arrives, expecting to live with the couple. Al's frustration boils over, and he yells "There's too many Cooks." The couple breaks off their engagement, and Al loses his job. Undeterred, he decides to finish the house himself, only to later sell it, but eventually finds a new path forward.
