Tussenland background

Tussenland

A worn-out widower forms an unexpected bond with a young Sudanese refugee, who is navigating the challenges of adapting to a new world.

Majok, an African refugee, finds himself constantly on the move, unable to settle in a refugee center. He often sleeps on a park bench, but one morning he wakes up in a meadow, where he meets Jacob, an elderly man who claims the bench as his own. Despite the initial disagreement, Majok returns to the bench frequently, and the two begin to form an unlikely friendship, despite their language barrier.
