A 14-year-old boy, Ivan, lives with his uncle, a used car parts dealer, who dreams of a better life and is secretly saving money to illegally emigrate to Chicago. When his uncle realizes they need more money, he introduces Ivan to car-part theft, and Ivan quickly learns the trade with his friend Efrain.
