Six years after its initial activation, Ben Samahon discovers a microchip in the form of a cosmic automaton, MiP, once wielded by a young Jason Wexler. Ben and his roommate Andrea reactivate MiP, which reveals a log of all prior activation dates. The robot's resurgence attracts the attention of Agent Levy and a secret organization, TLS, which seeks to harness MiP's power.
