Voices of Iraq

A poignant documentary explores the untold stories of everyday Iraqis, revealing the beauty and struggles of their daily lives.

Iraqi civilians are given digital cameras to record their thoughts and experiences from April to September 2004, shortly after the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime. The resulting footage features everyday Iraqis discussing their feelings about their lives, democracy, and their hopes for the future. Regional differences emerge, including the unique perspectives of the Kurdish population and individuals with varying levels of exposure to Hussein's regime and the recent events in Fallujah.
