Two enemy snipers, alone on opposite sides of a remote valley, grow weary of war and their attempts to kill each other. As aggression gives way to attraction, they engage in flirtation and courtship through their sniper scopes, despite the danger of a 150-yard minefield between them. Their plan to meet and consummate their relationship is discovered by American journalists and high-ranking officers, who are determined to stop them from ruining the war. The story culminates in a violent confrontation, where only poetic justice prevails.
