A writer's imagination brings wax museum statues to life, blurring reality and fiction as he becomes entangled with the enigmatic daughter of the museum's owner.

A writer is hired to create stories for a wax museum, and becomes inspired by the owner's daughter. He writes tales featuring the models, the daughter, and himself, including a story about a baker whose wife is too flirtatious, a story about Tzar Ivan the Terrible who enjoys watching executions, and a story about Jack the Ripper.
