A protective father figure takes in a young boy, shielding him from his abusive father. After the father vanishes, he plans to raise the boy as his own. However, the father's vengeful nature leads him to harm a kind-hearted neighbor who is also helping the boy. The neighbor's boyfriend intervenes, and the father abandons his son, but it's only a temporary escape.
