In 1899, 85-year-old President Lorenzo Snow embarks on a journey from Salt Lake City to St. George, Utah, to help alleviate the Mormon church's $2 million debt. Along the way, he witnesses the devastating effects of a severe drought. In the St. George Tabernacle, he receives a revelation that paying tithing will bring forth blessings, promising the people that crops will flourish and rain will return.
