Detective Ma Shan, a Chinese detective, wakes up after his sister's wedding party to find his gun with three bullets missing. With no memory of the previous night due to excessive drinking, he falls out of favor with his superiors and sets out to investigate the theft. When his former lover Li Xiaomeng is found dead with a shot from his gun, Ma Shan becomes the prime suspect. However, his acquaintance Zhou Xiaogang reveals that Li Xiaomeng was an accidental victim, and the real target was another friend. Ma Shan uses Zhou as bait to lure the killer and recover his stolen gun.
