The film tells the story of Stavros Topouzoglou, a young man from Anatolia who dreams of a better life in America. Despite his parents' initial plans for him to help fund a carpet shop in Constantinople, Stavros is determined to reach the United States and make his parents proud. He faces numerous challenges on his journey, but ultimately achieves his goal through a combination of perseverance and good fortune.
