Trevor, an adolescent, is a target of bullying at school. However, after calling in a fake bomb threat with a functioning device, parents and teachers fear him, and his classmates avoid him, except for the outcast group, the "Trogs". As violence against the Trogs escalates, Trevor is suspected of being involved, despite his innocence. One teacher takes a chance on Trevor and casts him in a controversial play about school shootings. The situation reaches a climax when other students plan to bring guns to school and kill everyone in the cafeteria.
