Lucy Lovett, Executive Director of the Lovett Art Foundation, rushes out of a bridal shop in Portland, Maine, only to slip and hit her head on the ice. She wakes up with retrograde amnesia, unable to remember her life in Portland, including her impending wedding to the Foundation's CFO, Brad Martin. As she recovers in her hometown of Bedford Harbor, she reconnects with her former fiancé, Zach Callahan, who is now dating another woman.

Confused and disoriented, Lucy finds herself in a strange situation, wearing a wedding dress and mistakenly believing she's rushing to her wedding with an ex-boyfriend, when in reality she's engaged to someone else and has no recollection of the past two years.
