Clayton James, a talented individual, was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, and raised by a single mother. Throughout his childhood, he developed a passion for various sports, but it was hockey and free ride mountain biking that truly captured his heart. From the age of six, he played goalie in hockey, and as he grew older, he found himself drawn to the thrill of downhill racing, excelling in his category.
As a teenager, Clayton began experimenting with filmmaking, initially creating free ride mountain bike videos that showcased his editing and acting skills alongside his childhood friends. This early start in the world of filmmaking laid the foundation for his future pursuits.
At the age of 21, Clayton decided to pursue a career in commercial acting, thanks to the encouragement of a family friend who introduced him to a local talent agent, John Davies. It was during his first commercial workshop that he met Andrew Mcilroy, a vibrant acting coach who inspired Clayton to pursue his dreams in the entertainment industry.
Since then, Clayton has continued to hone his craft in both Los Angeles and Vancouver, working on a variety of projects that have showcased his impressive range as an actor. His credits include TV shows such as Arrow, Supernatural, The Killing, Fringe, and King & Maxwell, as well as a starring role opposite Rachel Hunter in the 2015 film Her Infidelity.
Clayton has also had the opportunity to play memorable characters, including Kevin Federline, Britney Spears' ex-husband, in the Lifetime TV movie. Additionally, he has worked on the award-winning short film I Love You So Much It's Killing Them.
Currently, Clayton is working on Hallmark's When Calls the Heart, as well as supporting roles in TV movies, independent shorts, and feature films. His dedication to his craft and passion for storytelling have made him a talented and versatile actor in the entertainment industry.
