Damon and Pythias

A Athenian, Pythias, is given a chance to say goodbye to his dying wife in Athens before he's put to death by the ruthless Dionysus of Syracuse, who fears Pythias' support for equality among all men will undermine his authority.

A liberal Athenian, Pythias, is sentenced to death by the tyrant of Syracuse, Dionysus, who sees his views on human brotherhood as a threat.
