Dr. Henry Jekyll, a renowned physician, becomes obsessed with isolating the psychotropic properties of a rare Amazonian flower, said to separate the soul and unleash one's dark self. As he experiments, a series of brutal murders terrorizes the city. Jekyll awakens with bloody memories, realizing his dark alter ego, Mr. Edward Hyde, is emerging. He seeks the help of attorney Claire Wheaton, who agrees to defend him, citing extreme mental imbalance. Confined to an asylum, Jekyll loses control, and Hyde takes over, slaughtering without restraint.
