Ryan Arlen, a 29-year-old Vancouverite, is struggling to find direction in his life. After his girlfriend leaves him, kicks him out, and he's suspended from his job, he thinks things are looking up when he lands a job at the provincial lottery corporation and becomes the caretaker of an upscale condo complex. However, he soon questions whether these new situations are just a continuation of his mundane middle-class life.
