Falling Angels background

Falling Angels

Three sisters face turmoil in their home, where their father's physical abuse and mother's frequent intoxication create a chaotic environment, making it difficult for them to find stability and normalcy as they navigate the challenges of adolescence.

In a 1969 Canadian small town, Jim Field, a former military man, tries to project a perfect family image to the outside world, but his behavior and relationships with his family members are far from ideal. Despite his flaws, Jim has a protective attitude towards his wife Mary, who struggles with chronic depression. Their three daughters, Norma, Lou, and Sandy, each deal with their family's dysfunction in unique ways. As they navigate their lives, they each encounter someone who will impact their perspectives: Norma befriends Stella, Lou pursues Tom, and Sandy meets Reg Shelman. However, their lives are forever changed when a tragic event occurs on New Year's Day 1970, forcing the family to confront their dysfunction head-on.
