A group of college students, including Maiko, Amber, and Terry, embark on a documentary project to find Maiko's mother's body in Japan's infamous "suicide forest". They're joined by Kyle, who helps with filming, and meet a lonely hiker named Jin. As they search, their friends Skylar, Brody, and Craig join in, leading to a prank that goes awry. The group discovers a dead body and Skylar steals a Rolex, prompting Jin to warn them that they're cursed.
