Tom Stevens, the talented individual, was born into a family of artistic inclined parents, his mother being a writer, Diane Stevens (née Ried),and his father, a visual artist, David Stevens. This unique upbringing fostered an environment that encouraged creativity, and as a result, Tom developed a passion for music and songwriting at a remarkably young age.
As he progressed through his high school years, Tom's interest in acting began to take shape, and he started to participate in school plays. Despite receiving positive feedback, he was overcome with nerves during his audition to theatre school and ultimately decided to put his acting aspirations on hold for several years.
However, the desire to pursue his passion for acting never truly dissipated, and Tom eventually found himself working in the service sector, taking on various jobs, including that of a janitor. Despite feeling unfulfilled in these roles, he eventually found the courage to rekindle his interest in acting.
In 2007, Tom was accepted into the Theatre program at Douglas College, where he honed his craft and graduated in 2009.
