A crime boss, deported from the USA, concocts a plan to re-enter the country by manipulating an honest gambler, who becomes embroiled in a web of misfortunes and bribery. On a trip to Mexico, the gambler meets a charming chanteuse, but their vacation takes a turn when they discover that the seemingly wealthy and carefree guests at a luxurious resort are all hiding secrets, except perhaps for a suspicious ham actor.
