An 11-year-old boy struggles to adjust to a new town after his mother's job transfer, but eventually finds friendship and joy with his classmates. During a cycle race, he gets left behind in a "Killa" during a sudden rainstorm, leading to a lonely and disappointing search for his friends. Meanwhile, his mother is facing challenges at work that she can't share with him, and he begins to feel unappreciated.
