Lethal Weapon 2

Two veteran cops, Riggs and Murtaugh, face off against sophisticated drug dealers wielding automatic weapons and helicopters. Their pursuit leads to a shocking discovery of a million dollars' worth of gold coins in the dealers' vehicle. As they're threatened, the Captain reassigns them to protect a key witness, Leo Getz, who's about to testify in a major case. However, things take a dark turn when they learn that Getz laundered half a billion dollars of drug money. As they follow a trail of clues, they're met with gunfire at a location Getz once visited. When they return with backup, they discover that the shooters work for the South African consulate, enjoying diplomatic immunity, leaving the cops frustrated and powerless.
