Eleven-year-old Des has a troubled past, constantly getting into mischief and crime with his friends. They vandalize, steal, and mug people, feeling invincible since Des can't be charged until he's twelve. That is, until Cory becomes his best friend and they continue their destructive streak. But when Des is sent to an assessment center for troubled youths, he may finally have a chance to leave his life of crime behind and start anew.
