A young man, Geoffrey Bramer, joins forces with two petty thieves to impersonate a noble and steal valuables from upscale stores. After getting caught, Geoffrey is sent to a reform school for wayward youth, where he learns the ways of the sea. He befriends a fellow inmate, Terry O'Mulvaney, but their escapades ultimately land them in trouble.
