Mary, a young girl from Magdala, rejects a marriage proposal and is accused of being possessed by a demon. Jesus, a healer, is consulted and shares his gospel with Mary, who is astonished by his words and charisma. Despite her family's opposition, Mary decides to follow Jesus, meeting other men who also walk with him. However, Peter develops resentment towards Mary, believing her presence weakens Jesus' message. As events unfold in Jerusalem, Mary and Peter's confrontation about Jesus will change them and the world.
