A young man, Vincent Monroe, addicted to blood, roams London's red light district, seeking lonely victims to satiate his craving, disposing of their bodies in the Thames River. He meets Ruby Stone, a stripper, in a coffee shop, and they fall deeply in love. After a passionate night, Vincent's darker nature surfaces, and he bites Ruby's neck, sending her fleeing. As she recovers, she's confronted by a sadistic pimp obsessed with her, and Vincent finds her fainted in an alley. Horrified, Ruby discovers she's been turned into a vampire.
