In 1931 Western Australia, a government policy forcibly removes half-white, half-Aboriginal children from their mothers, condemning them to indentured servitude. Three sisters and a cousin, aged 14, 10, and 8, escape their fate and embark on a perilous journey north, evading capture by a native tracker and the constabulary.
