Red Ryder and his friends, Little Beaver and Buckskin Blodgett, chase off bandits attacking a stagecoach carrying Libby Brooks, the owner of the Devil's Hole newspaper, and her brother Gerry. Red also stops a hitman from killing Gerry, but later Frenchy Beaumont, the hotel owner, kills Gerry in a duel. Red joins Libby in a fight against Frenchy's gang and tries to jail him, but fails. He then challenges Frenchy to a duel, but is badly wounded.

Red Ryder foils a stagecoach heist, rescuing Libby Brooks, owner of the Devil's Hole newspaper, and her brother Gerry from outlaws, with the assistance of Little Beaver and Buckskin Blodgett.
