Rich playboy Drogo Gaines fakes insanity to avoid marrying a gold digger, only to find himself in a humorous asylum filled with eccentric patients. He befriends Colonel Carraway and together they hatch an escape plan, which leads them to join forces with beautiful carnival owner Penguin Moore and her colorful carnival crew. The trio's antics are filled with classic slapstick humor.
