During the Cuban War of Independence from Spain in 1898, a former U.S. Cavalry Captain turned gun-runner, Caleb Cash Adams, and his former Sergeant, Trasker, attempt to deliver a large weapon shipment to Cuban rebels. They face off against rival gun smuggler Clay Pike, who was a gunrunner during the Indian Wars, and his men. The two groups engage in a series of battles and skirmishes during their perilous voyage from Florida to Cuba, with the two men also vying for the affections of a Cuban revolutionary belle named Doña Isabella.
