Tex Archer and his sidekick, Duke Evans, arrive to save Madge Summers from a runaway wagon after a raid on her father's freight shipment. The raid, staged by Kalmus, a competitor, aims to destroy Summers' franchise. Kalmus orders his henchman, Red Holman, to kill Tex, but Holman is accidentally shot and left for dead. Tex is framed for murder and imprisoned, while Duke discovers Holman is still alive.
