Stars in My Crown

In the post-civil war era, a parson named Josiah Gray arrives in the frontier town of Walesburg, bringing with him a sense of moral guidance and unity to the community. Despite being a man of faith, he is able to connect with people of all religious backgrounds, earning him the respect and admiration of the townspeople. However, not everyone is pleased with the parson's presence, including farmer Jed Isbell who refuses to attend church services, and young Doc Harris, who doesn't see the value of religion in healthcare. As tensions rise, the parson finds himself at the center of a crisis when typhoid begins to spread throughout the town, and he must also come to the aid of a freed slave, Uncle Famous Prill, who is being threatened by a local store owner.
