Victor Sandeman, a senior partner at Brunel Global Securities, faces financial woes that can be solved by a planned $100 million merger. However, the company's owner, Raymond Brunel, opposes the merger. To achieve his goal, Victor murders Raymond, making it appear as a natural death. The only complication is Christine Sternwald, a paralegal who was a sexual assault survivor. After a car accident, Victor identifies himself as Raymond Brunel, realizing Christine may have witnessed the murder. He decides to eliminate her, putting her and those close to her, including Maggie Wexler and Jeff Monroe, in danger without their knowledge.
